Sports Meeting

After 1 year, I finally went back to my middle school!

In October, 2020, the annual sports meeting in JinLing High School was held in JinLing High School HeXi Campuse in which I have spent my last 3 years. To be frank, from the day I got into JinLing High, I haven’t spent a single day not missing my old life in hexi. As a result, I couldn’t be more excited for this trip due to the fact that plenty of my middle school friends left in hexi and I got the opportunity to see them again and catch up with them.

On the first day of the sports meeting, the playground, which was even larger than a standard one, was filled with students and teachers from jinling high. you can see all classes were settled in different sections of the field with their costumes on. In the very beginning of the meeting, there was a performance from each of the classes which was successfully pulled off. After that, the competition officially began.

Though I haven’t got a chance to compete for my class, because of the injure in my legs, and back, and feet(you may call me a glass person), there were still ways for me to participate. Every time a new competition started, you could always see me hang on the fencing and cheering for the athletes, no matter which class they were from, just to show the sports spirits. Moreover, in order to make the best use out of me, not only have I encouraged our players on the blob, some of my friends and I also helped with carrying water supplies, bought by our caring parents, to make sure that all players are well hydrated so that they can provide with their best performance. Apart from all these, it was those astonishing players that brought pride for our class who we should all thank for.

The sports meeting lasted for 3 days. During this period of time, we got to experienced what it feels like to work as one unit with people you have newly met. It’s the first team activity that we have had so far as well. Overall, to me, it was quite an unforgettable memory since I spent almost a whole day with some of my old friends. (We played football together!)

Anyway, I’m looking forward to carry on with my adventure with these new community in the late future!!!
